Raynetta “Ray” Hill


Raynetta “Ray” Hill is a dynamic leader passionate about fostering economic growth through collaborative leadership and advocacy for social and economic impact. Serving as Executive Director she has a strong track record in both the private and nonprofit real estate sectors, Ray has played pivotal roles, including overseeing a $14.1 million redevelopment project and increasing institutional philanthropic giving for CommonBond Communities in Wisconsin. She also managed extensive residential portfolios as operations manager for National Management.

Ray is deeply familiar with the BID and the Bronzeville district, having served as the Associate Director for the Historic Business Improvement District No. 8, where she drove revitalization efforts and enhanced engagement with local stakeholders. .

Active in community service, Ray serves on multiple boards and committees focused on economic impact. In her free time, she enjoys family, and activities related to food, art, and music.

Notably, Ray was appointed by Governor Evers to the Wisconsin Housing Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) and became Vice Chair in 2021. She has been recognized with several honors, including the Milwaukee Business Journal’s 40 under 40 award and the Young Pioneer Award from the African American Chamber of Commerce in 2021.

Ostassia "Tassia" Jackson

Administrative Assistant 

Tassia is an experienced project manager and administrative professional with a background in various industries and business support services. As the founder of Urbanly Cultured, LLC Professional Services, she partners with organizations like Historic King Drive BID 8 to provide administrative and project management support that strengthens community initiatives and business operations. With expertise in communications, strategic planning, and stakeholder coordination, Ostassia is dedicated to helping teams operate efficiently and make a lasting impact in the communities they serve.


Dante Lavell Nash

Creative Director

Dante Lavell Nash is a Milwaukee-based digital artist and creative director exploring the intersection of culture, community, and design. Through his business, AVRA LLC, he leads creative strategy, branding, and visual storytelling for partners like the King Drive BID. His work, featured on PBS and the Criterion Channel, reflects a deep commitment to authentic narratives and the evolving creative identity of the Midwest.


Déysha Smith-Jenkins

Social Architect

Déysha Smith-Jenkins is a Milwaukee native, media professional, and community advocate whose work bridges storytelling, sports, and service. A former All-American student-athlete and University of Connecticut graduate, she leads The Twenty-Fifth Hour LLC, specializing in video production and social strategy for purpose-driven brands. Déysha’s charisma shines on game days as the In-Stadium Co-Host for the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Admirals, while her leadership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and local youth programs highlights her deep commitment to mentorship and empowerment. Recognized as a 2024 Notable Woman in Sports by Milwaukee Business Times, Déysha continues to elevate voices and build community through creativity, connection, and impact.

BID Scholars

Malinda “linn” Tillman

Malinda Tillman is a rising senior at Dr. Howard Fuller Collegiate Academy and the newest King Drive BID Scholar serving as a Data Specialist Intern for the Historic King Drive BID. In her role, she supports the team by organizing, maintaining, and analyzing data that helps projects run efficiently and ensures critical information remains accurate, accessible, and actionable. Through this experience, Malinda is gaining hands-on exposure to community and economic development while strengthening her professional, technical, and leadership skills. Malinda is excited to explore future educational and career opportunities while contributing meaningful work that supports the growth and success of the King Drive corridor. She brings a strong work ethic, curiosity, and a commitment to learning, making her a valuable addition to the team.

Outside of her internship, Malinda dedicates much of her time to basketball and enjoys expressing her creativity through music and poetry. 

zoe chambers

Zoe Chambers is an incoming freshman at North Carolina Central University and the newest King Drive BID Scholar serving as the Historic King Drive BID's Corridor Activation & Social Media Content Specialist. In her role, Zoe works directly with businesses throughout the corridor while creating engaging content that increases visibility, awareness, and community engagement across platforms including Meta, TikTok, and other digital channels. Through her internship, she is gaining hands on experience in marketing, storytelling, community engagement, and business development while helping showcase the people and places that make Historic King Drive unique. Zoe is excited to continue growing her creative and professional skills while contributing to initiatives that strengthen and celebrate the corridor.

Outside of her internship, Zoe enjoys attending community events, singing, and catching up on sleep whenever she can. A unique fun fact about Zoe is that she has performed the National Anthem at Fiserv Forum on multiple occasions.
