Programs and Initiatives

B.R.U.S.H Art Initiative

The BRUSH Initiative is a King Drive BID-led program that empowers local artists to transform vacant storefronts and underutilized spaces into vibrant public art.

Focused on visual storytelling, healing, and neighborhood pride, BRUSH connects creatives with business owners to reimagine the corridor through murals, window displays, and community-driven design.

By activating these spaces, the initiative not only uplifts local talent but also enhances the visual identity and economic vitality of Historic King Drive. BRUSH reflects the BID’s ongoing commitment to placekeeping, creativity, and inclusive revitalization.

Corridor Cares

King Drive Corridor Cares is the Historic King Drive BID's clean, safe, and maintenance initiative dedicated to preserving the beauty and vibrancy of the district. Powered by two local workforce partners, this team provides ongoing street maintenance, litter removal, beautification, and corridor upkeep while creating 10 employment opportunities for community members.

More than a maintenance program, Corridor Cares is an investment in both people and place—ensuring that King Drive remains safe, clean, welcoming, and reflective of the pride that defines our historic corridor. Through this work, we are creating pathways to employment while enhancing the experience for businesses, residents, and visitors every day.
